Corsica packing list for families

Corsica packs beaches, mountains and boat trips into one island, and your bag needs to handle all three. Here is what our family brings for twisty drives, rocky coves and clear-water swims.

Kristina's notes on Corsica

  1. Corsica's roads are narrow and winding, and a short distance on the map can take much longer than you expect. I plan one or two bases instead of moving every night, and pack motion sickness remedies.
  2. The boat trips are the highlight for kids, whether it's the cliffs at Bonifacio or the red rocks of the Scandola reserve. Book them for a calm morning and bring a layer, since it's breezy on the water.
  3. August is busy with French summer holidays. June and September give you warm water, easier parking at the beaches, and much calmer villages.
