Curaçao packing list for families
Curaçao is sunny and dry with small cove beaches, which makes shoes and snorkel gear more important than you might expect. Here is what our family packs for beach days, boat trips, and Willemstad.

Kristina's notes on Curaçao
- Curaçao's best beaches are small coves with coral rubble and rocks at the waterline. Water shoes make a big difference for kids, and I would not skip them here.
- The boat ride to Klein Curaçao is beautiful but can be rough in the open sea. If you have a child who gets seasick, pick a calm-wind day and pack motion-sickness bands.
- Curaçao sits south of the usual hurricane path, so it is a smart choice for late summer and fall trips. It is also hot and dry, so plan beach time early and save Willemstad for late afternoon.
