Disney cruise packing list for families

Packing for a Disney cruise means planning for theme nights, pool days, and island beach time all in one suitcase. A few small extras make a compact stateroom feel organized and fun for kids.

Kristina's notes on Disney Cruise

  1. Pack a pirate-themed outfit for each kid. Pirate night is a highlight on most sailings, and families really dress up.
  2. Closed-loop sailings from US ports may allow a birth certificate instead of a passport, but I strongly recommend passports. If someone needs to fly home from a foreign port, you'll be glad you have them.
  3. Bring one dressier outfit per person for a semi-formal night, plus a cover-up and sandals that can go straight from the pool deck to lunch.
