Megève ski trip packing list for families

Megève is a gentle, charming place for a family ski trip, with as much time spent strolling the village as on the slopes. This list covers the French Alps extras that make both comfortable.

Kristina's notes on Megève Ski

  1. Megève is one of my favorite French resorts for families, with wide, gentle runs and a car-free village center. The tradeoff is lower altitude, so I like January through mid-March for the best snow.
  2. The village is made for strolling, with horse-drawn sleighs, boutiques and cozy cafés. Pack warm boots that look nice and grip well, since you'll walk a lot in the evenings.
  3. It's a short drive from Geneva compared with many French resorts, which makes it a good fit for a first family ski trip. Even so, pack car snacks and motion sickness help for the mountain road.
