Punta Cana packing list for families

Punta Cana is built for easy family beach time, with big resorts and long stretches of sand. Here is what our family packs to make all-inclusive days and excursions run smoothly.

Kristina's notes on Punta Cana

  1. The Dominican Republic uses a free online e-Ticket form for arrival and departure. Fill it out before you fly and save the QR codes to your phone so you are not doing it in line with tired kids.
  2. Stick to bottled or filtered water for drinking and brushing teeth. I pack a toothbrush cup for each child so it is easy to use bottled water at the sink.
  3. Seaweed called sargassum can wash onto east-facing beaches, usually in the warmer months. I help families choose resorts with calmer beaches or great pools as a backup.
