Kristina's notes on San Miguel de Allende
- The streets are steep and almost entirely cobblestone, so a stroller is more trouble than help. I bring a carrier for little ones and sneakers with good grip for everyone else.
- At about 6,200 feet, winter mornings can be close to freezing while afternoons feel warm. Pack a cozy layer for breakfast on the terrace and lighter clothes for the day.
- A soak at one of the nearby hot spring pools is a great kid break between strolls through town. Bring swimsuits, since the city itself is all walking.
