St. Kitts and Nevis packing list for families

St. Kitts and Nevis are quiet, green, and easy to explore, but getting between them usually means a boat. Here is how our family packs for island transfers, beach days, and a fortress visit.

Kristina's notes on St. Kitts & Nevis

  1. Most families fly into St. Kitts and take a water taxi or ferry to Nevis. Keep a soft bag and a small pouch with passports and snacks ready, because the transfer can involve stepping onto a dock.
  2. Green vervet monkeys are everywhere and the kids love them, but they will grab food. Zip snacks into bags at the beach and on patios.
  3. Brimstone Hill Fortress is worth a morning with kids, but it is hot and exposed. Go early, bring water, and pack sneakers rather than sandals for the ramparts.
